We did
The consultation resulted in changes to three documents:
- Strategic Plan
- Roadmap to 2020 and
- Clinician Engagement Strategy.
No changes were made to the Consumer and Community Engagement Strategy.
The CQ Health Board endorsed all four documents at its meeting on 29 June 2018 and the documents have now been published on our website - www.health.qld.gov.au/cq
Overview
CQ Health staff and our community had extensive input into the development of our strategic vision Destination 2030: Great Care for Central Queenslanders.
We are launching a new round of consultation on our short-term strategies and actions that will help us deliver Destination 2030:
- Destination 2020 Road map
- Strategic Plan 2018-2022
- Clinician Engagement Strategy 2018-2022
- Consumer and Community Engagement Strategy 2018-2022
Why your views matter
Our Board and Executive Management Team joined junior and senior medical, nursing and allied health staff to develop Roadmap to 2020 - the key CQ Health projects we will deliver to reach our 2020 milestones. That information was then used to develop our strategic plan and identify the engagement strategies we would use to deliver our vision.
The content of each is integrated and supportive, and sets a blueprint of pending achievements for our health service.
While we are seeking staff and community input on these key documents, a Roadmap to 2020 is being developed in our 10 key strategic objective areas. (Rockhampton Hospital; Gladstone Hospital; rural and remote; out-of-hospital services; Closing the Gap; Great Care, Great Experience; Great People Great Place to Work; Great Learning and Research; Great Partnerships; Sustainable Future.) These roadmaps will provide more clarity and a shared vision of the projects we will deliver across our health service during the next two years.
We invite you to review the draft documents and provide feedback on everything from the language used to content, omissions or support.
All feedback will be reviewed, appropriate changes integrated into a final version that will go to our Board for approval or endorsement on 29 June.
