Call for CQ Health Consumer Representatives - Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Maternity Clinical Network
Overview
We are inviting our health consumers, carers or family members (past or present) to join us on our Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Maternity Clinical Network at CQ Health.
Anyone can apply, you can be a woman who has had a gynaecology procedure, an expecting parent, parent, grandparent or carer as long as you live in Central Queensland, have an interest in planning for the future of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Maternity services in Central Queensland and providing great care closer to home for Central Queenslanders.
This is an important strategic clinical network responsible for ensuring safe, reliable and continual improvement of our Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Maternity services for Central Queenslanders. This clinical network will also be designing and planning the future of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Maternity services in CQ. The clinical network brings together representatives from teams across our health service who are responsible for Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Maternity services.
This clinical network meets quarterly, the next meeting will be in December. Meetings are generally held in Rockhampton for no longer than two hours per meeting, we will have video and phone conference available.
You will need to volunteer a few hours of your time for reading and committee work. This is a formal health consumer representative position. This means you will need to go through an application and selection process and if successful be offered the ability to claim reasonable out of pocket expenses and a formal committee participation fee while in the role.
You will not be required to have any specialist skills or health knowledge - let us focus on this. Anyone who has been a consumer or carer within the Central Queensland region can apply.
We are committed to a diverse and inclusive health consumer representation, reflective of our community and will support you in this role.
Applications are open now until Sunday 20 September 2020.
